Regulatory Pulse and jurisdiction traceability

Move from source research toward reviewed controls without confusing tracking with compliance.

Read the published source scope#

Regulatory Pulse is U.S.-first. Its current published source edition contains selected state legislative records with source links, retrieval/publication context and coverage limits. The public inventory determines the displayed state coverage; the number is not a claim that every relevant law in those states has been reviewed.

Some records are source inventory, while others may contain reviewed obligations or control mappings. Read that maturity distinction on the record. A source-edition fallback is a dated published inventory, not a guarantee that the latest legislative event has been collected.

Keep legal status and applicability separate#

Introduced, enacted or adopted, signed and effective are different statuses. A published date, reported milestone or upcoming event should not be treated as an applicable requirement without reviewing the primary source, scope and dates.

A business's obligations depend on activities, people, data and the relevant legal definitions. LSAS does not automatically infer applicability from an IP address, server location or selected state. Qualified human interpretation remains necessary.

Discover, interpret, approve, configure, enforce, prove#

This sequence describes the intended trace from research to execution. Discover a source; interpret applicability; approve an organizational position; configure a supported technical policy; enforce it at the qualified boundary; retain evidence and unresolved obligations.

These stages do not all become complete when a source is published. The currently installed regulatory release list is empty. Authored state dossiers, including Colorado, remain drafts rather than production-ready executable state packs. State coverage must never be presented as an equivalent count of installed controls.

Understand the current coverage boundary#

This documentation does not announce federal or international expansion. A new source feed requires its own retrieval, review, publication and currentness design. Until that work is implemented and verified, federal and broader jurisdiction coverage remains outside the current claim.
